About the Author
Kathryn grew up in England and attended Birmingham University where she graduated in psychology. A Masters degree followed by a PhD led to a career as a Clinical Psychologist. For many years she divided her time between clinical work and lecturing, enjoying both equally.
For about half her adult life she has lived in New Zealand, which she fell in love with at first sight. She now lives on the South Island with her husband and two cats in a small coastal community a few kilometres north of Dunedin. The view from her window is a stunner and never fails to inspire whatever the weather. Writing has always been part of Kathryn’s life although creative writing is a new challenge and The Call of the Takehe her first attempt at a novel.
Her hobbies are gardening, reading, walking on the many beaches along the Otago coast, and when she has the chance she loves to travel in order to visit historic towns and villages, castles and stately homes or anywhere that shows us something of the past.
